Argentina’s River Plate beat Chile’s Colo Colo 2-1 at home on Wednesday in the third day of group F of the Copa Libertadores and consolidated its lead with plenty of victories.
A goal from Matías Suárez in the 83rd minute opened the account for the ‘Millonario’ and a wonder from Ezequiel Barco, with his right foot from outside the area and through the top corner, finished off the ‘Cacique’ at home in the 89th minute.
The three points left the Argentines as the only leader after winning at the home of their main rival in the group, who shortened the result to 90+2 with a header from Juan Lucero after a cross from Pablo Solari.
