FPF will investigate the acts of violence committed this Saturday at the VIDU

The meeting of the teams of the minor categories between Alianza Lima and Universitario that was played this Saturday in VIDA was tinged with violence. What marred the event was a fight carried out by the attendees. There were even shots fired into the air.

In this regard, the Peruvian Football Federation condemned the acts of vandalism. The sports institution specified in a statement that it decided that the FPF Disciplinary Commission will be in charge of investigating the acts in the commitment for the 2008 category and “According to its powers, impose the corresponding sanctions according to the regulations of the Elite Federation-Cop Gold Tournament”.

On the other hand, the entity pointed out that the commitment between Alianza Lima and Universitario Sub-18 that was going to be played on Monday, May 9 at VIDU was suspended to safeguard the integrity of the soccer players and the public.

“The Peruvian Football Federation recalls that the reactivation of youth football in Peru is a labor of great effort and calls on all the institutions and people involved to seriously fulfill their obligations for the proper development of competitions”, reads in the statement.
