U. Católica was sanctioned with two games without an audience after the riots in front of Colo Colo

The last classic between Catholic University versus colo colo in San Carlos de Apoquindo it will cost the “Cruzado” team a suspension of two games without an audience due to the incidents that occurred in the stands. After the ‘Cacique’ goal, some infiltrators celebrated effusively, causing the local fans to attack them. After an investigation that did not provide the expected results in Católica, the organization decided to rule on the aforementioned sanction for the next two games that it plays as a local in the Chilean National Championship, as reported The Sporty LT.

On April 24, the official gallery of San Carlos de Apoquindo was the scene of an unequal fight between supporters of both teams, after the colocolinos celebrated the equalizing goal in the final minutes.

Given this, the Catholic University urged the ANFP board to make a complaint against Colo Colo for what happened in the last duel in San Carlos de Apoquindo. The ‘Crusaders’ believe that the ‘Albos’ gave courtesy tickets to their barristas, violating article 66 of the ANFP Code of Procedure and Penalties, which explicitly sanctions the “granting of tickets” to “sympathizers and adherents” .

Failure to comply with the aforementioned rule brings with it a very harsh punishment: subtraction of 10 points in the table “of those accumulated in the championship that disputes the occurrence of the illicit”, a sanction that would have significantly hit Colo Colo’s aspirations to win again the National Championship after five years.

However, the term expired and there was no accusation, so the sanction fell on the Catholic University, who must remain without an audience for the next two home games in the Chilean National Championship.

According to the calendar, these two games would be the following: this Friday against Unión La Calera and on 5/29 against Antofagasta.
