Mbappé on Real Madrid: “I respect Florentino and his club, they tried to make me happy”

Kylian Mbappé’s career will continue in France, since he decided to renew his bond with PSG until 2025. The striker was happy to remain in the ranks of the Paris club and this Monday gave details of how he agreed to his new contract, in the middle of the rumors of his arrival at Real Madrid.

I feel that my story at PSG is not over yet. Everyone knew that last year I wanted to sign for Real Madrid, but now the project has changed and that’s what made me stay. I don’t know where I’ll be in three years”, were the first words of the footballer before the media.

I wanted to go out in the summer and it was the best possible option at that time. The years change and the context is different now. There are different circumstances. I know what I can contribute to my country, it is a country where I dream of playing”, added ‘Kiki’.

In addition, Mbappé stressed that he had chosen his future in advance, although he received the suggestion to keep everything in reserve. “I made the decision last week and I didn’t tell my teammates, because the club didn’t want me to. They wanted to keep it a secret and make it a surprise to everyone. I made this determination after having called Florentino Pérez“, revealed.

I have always dreamed of wearing the Madrid shirt, I got to wear it when I was 14 years old. I understand your disappointment. I thank you and I hope you understand the choice to continue in my country, because I am French and I love my nation”, detailed the skilled player.

Finally, Kylian Mbappé sent a message to the ‘White House’. “I have respect for Real Madrid and for Florentino Pérez. They did everything for me and tried to make me very happy. I thought for myself and made the best decision”, sentenced the forward.
