With Thiago and Fabinho on the list: Liverpool traveled to Paris for the Champions League final

Real Madrid flew to Paris on Thursday. And this Friday, it was Liverpool’s turn. The English team, with Thiago Alcántara and Fabinho in the delegation, traveled from John Lennon airport to the French capital to face Real Madrid on Saturday for the Champions League final.

The English went with all their members, including Thiago, whom Klopp sees with “good options” to play despite the Achilles tendon injury he suffered last Sunday. The only sure loss for the English is that of Divock Origi, scorer of Liverpool’s last goal in a Champions League final, in 2019 against Tottenham Hotspur at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Liverpool announced on its website that Thiago and the Brazilian Fabinho will finally travel to Paris to “be ready to compete to return”although he did not provide details on his condition.

Thiago returned to training before making the trip, but not Fabinho, who suffered a muscle problem in the game against Aston Villa on May 10.

This will be the third Champions League final in the last five years for the British, who have won six European Cups, two of them in this century, one in 2005 in Istanbul against Milan, and another in Madrid.

Once landed in Paris, Klopp and two players will have to attend to the media at 4:45 p.m. local time. Two hours after the appearance of the Liverpool coach and players, it will be the turn of Carlo Ancelotti and his team.

When is the final Real Madrid vs. Liverpool?

Real Madrid and Liverpool will face each other in the Champions League final this Saturday, May 28, at the Stade de France. The match, scheduled for 2:00 pm (Peruvian time) and 9:00 pm (Spanish time), will be broadcast on ESPN, Star + (Star Plus), HBO Max, TVE La 1, RTVE.es, fuboTV Spain, Movistar + and Movistar Champions League.
