Delay in Monte Carlo. The appearance of rain ten minutes before Monaco GP of Formula 1 forced to delay the start of the seventh round of the World Championship, which took place in formation behind the safety car and finally, the red flag was taken out and the single-seaters returned to the pit lane.

The start procedure was initially delayed by nine minutes due to changing weather conditions and race management announced that the formation lap would start behind the safety car.

It remained to be seen if it was mandatory to do it with extreme rain tires when leaving behind the safety car, something that was confirmed moments later and with a new departure time, 3:16 p.m. in France (8:16 a.m. in Peru).

The vehicles followed the safety car in the first turns, until the red flag was shown. The single-seaters returned to the garages after this new race management decision.
