‘Puma’ Carranza was expelled for an elbow in the 7-a-side football classic that Universitario won | VIDEO

Face to face again, as in so many Peruvian soccer classics. José Luis ‘Puma’ Carranza and Waldir Sáenz were once again rivals this Tuesday night, in a match between Universitario and Íntimos, for the fifth day of the F7 Legends Cup, played at the Ollantaytambo Sports Complex.

In the end, the victory went to the cream team. Michael Guevara converted the solitary goal, at minute 10 of the first half. The skilful athlete finished off strongly, from the right, and overcame the resistance of Marco Flores, who managed to touch the ball, but could not avoid the goal.

The last minutes of the match were very tense. The Blue and Whites went in search of a draw, while Universitario defended as best they could. At one point, when Intimates was looking to generate an offensive situation, everything came to a standstill. The referee showed the red card to ‘Puma’, for elbowing Joao Pereira.

In Universitario, Juan Flores, Diego Bustamante, Roberto Farfán, Michael Guevara, Franco Mendoza, Gregorio Bernales, Mauro Cantoro, Eddy Carazas, among others, played. On the bench was Oswaldo Araujo.

For their part, in Intimates were Marco Flores, Wilmer Carrillo, Carlos Solís, Wenceslao Fernández, Miguel Llanos, Juan Rodríguez, Joao Pereira, Exar Rosales, in addition to other characters. Carlos Basombrío led the blue and white team.

“We are used to winning and we always leave everything. The classics are like that. The one that wins is the people and it is a great spectacle”, declared the ‘Puma’ Carranza, for GOLPERU, after the classic.
