Moment of tension: Daronco stepped on a player and was confronted in Brazil | VIDEO

anderson daroncoreferee of the last Peru-Uruguay for Qualifiers, was again a trend this Saturday for his participation in Avaí vs. Sao Paulo, where he stepped on a soccer player and starred in a moment full of tension.

Bruno Silva, Avaí midfielder, walked towards the judge to claim a decision 10 minutes into the duel and ended up receiving the weight of the man in black on his right foot.

The Brazilian referee excused himself, but the incident was not taken well by the offended party, who did not accept the referee’s apologies and walked away indignantly.

The stomp did not go unnoticed on social networks, where opinions were divided. Some believed that the referee had no intention of doing harm, while others indicated that he made himself respected strategically.

Daronco is remembered in Peru for not validating a goal by Miguel Trauco against Uruguay on the penultimate date of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers. After not reviewing the VAR action, the FPF reported it to FIFA.
