Robert Lewandowski makes it clear that he wants to leave Bayern Munich: “Something has died in me”

Robert Lewandowski has a current contract with Bayern Munich until June 2023. However, for a few weeks, the attacker repeatedly revealed that he wants to go to another club for next season.

On this occasion, the Polish footballer again mentioned that he wants to leave the German team. “During so many years at the club you were always ready, available, despite injuries and pain, you gave your best. I think the best thing will be to find a good solution for both parties. And do not seek a unilateral decision. Has no sense. Not after so long.” declared for Onet Sport.

“After such a successful run and with my willingness and support, I think this loyalty and respect is probably more important than this business. Something has died in me, I need new emotions”, he mentioned.

Along the same lines, the striker does not believe that the Bavarian team will retain him by force. “So that? What kind of player will then want to come to Bayern knowing that something like this could happen to him? Where are then the loyalty and respect? I have spent eight beautiful years here, I have met wonderful people and I would like everything to continue like this in my head”, he explained.

It is important to mention that Robert Lewandowski arrived at Bayern Munich in the 2014-2015 season and has lifted the Bundesliga eight times. Likewise, he won the German Cup three times and won five editions of the Super Cup in that country.

The achievements of the Polish striker do not only happen in local tournaments as he touched glory in 2020. The player conquered the UEFA Champions League after beating PSG in the final.
