A family in Brazil experienced moments of panic and despair when a Rottweiler dog jumped out of a moving van to attack them while they were walking their puppy near a park.

The event that was recorded by the surveillance cameras occurred during the night in one of the main streets of Vila Virgínia, in Ribeirão Preto (Sao Paulo) and also astonished passers-by who ran to take refuge, says Globo.

The animal took advantage of the fact that the vehicle had the window down to jump. As soon as he saw the other dog with the woman, he lost control and jumped, not caring that the car had not stopped.

He went to attack the woman who, desperate, carried her pet in her arms to prevent it from getting hurt.

The man who accompanied them took it upon himself to take his three-year-old son to protect him, while he saw how his partner screamed for help. The force with which the animal sought her prey caused injuries to the woman.

The owner of the rottweiler had to leave the car in the middle of the track to go after his dog and thus avoid a tragedy. At first, the dog ran away from him, but he was finally able to hold him close to the sidewalk.

Fortunately, the mother only received scratches on her back and other parts of her body, but none of any importance.

It is unknown if the victims managed to file a complaint.
