Peruvian women’s team and the preliminary call for the Copa América 2022

They are putting together the team that will compete in the continental tournament of South America. The Peruvian women’s soccer team will prepare for what will be its participation in the 2022 Copa América to be held in Colombia. For this reason, the ‘white and red’ announced their preliminary calls for friendly matches for the FIFA date and the highest competition of South American teams.

The coach of the national representative summoned a total of 30 soccer players within the preliminary list and, later, he will have to reduce the number of summoned.

The Peruvian Football Federation confirmed that Peru will play two friendlies against the Mexican National Team, exactly on June 25 and 28 in Mexican territory.

It should be noted that those led by Conrad Flores had seven microcycles during 2021, where they faced Ecuador and Paraguay. On the other hand, the Copa América will be held in Colombia from July 8 to 30.

The South American tournament will feature ten teams and a total of 25 matches. In addition, it will have a greater relevance since the Copa América will give three direct quotas and two playoffs for the Women’s Soccer World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023.

Likewise, it will give a direct pass and a playoff for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and three automatic quotas for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
