Ecuador presented its defense to FIFA after Chile’s claim for the Byron Castillo case

After the claim of the ANFP before FIFA for the case Byron Castillothe last Monday June 06, the FEF (Ecuadorian Football Federation)presented the defense arguments for the inclusion of the footballer and were awaiting the ruling by the highest entity in international football.

Carlos Manzur, the vice president of the Ecuadorian federation, confirmed that they have already presented their defense to FIFA. “We already presented our answer and the supports. About them we will only talk within the process”, he declared for ‘El Deportivo’.

“According to what the Chilean media have published, FIFA has said that it will resolve the first instance on June 10. So then we won’t have to wait long”, he added ironically.

“It makes sense that they don’t take the usual time, especially if the case is clear, but four days seems short to me. In any case, it is what the media has said. We have not received any official notification”, he asserted.

When will the FIFA ruling on the Byron Castillo case be known?

After the Chilean Football Federation (ANFP) presented its claim about the alleged misalignment of the defender of the Ecuadorian team, Byron Castillo; FIFA investigated and will announce the ruling next Friday, June 10, according to Chile’s TNT Sports.

Initially, the highest entity in international football was going to deliver the ruling on June 14, however, they decided to advance the announcement. The ANFP will be on the lookout, since it stated that the footballer made “use of a false birth certificate.”
