Nolberto Solano assured that he would accompany Ricardo Gareca if he went to train in Argentina

The uncertainty about the future of the bench of the Peruvian National Team remains. Ricardo Gareca ended his contract as technical director of Peru after the World Cup playoffs and is expected to consider the possibility of a new renewal. However, the option that he return to train in Argentina is latent and Nolberto Solano assured that he would go with the “Tiger”, if that were the case.

“Without a doubt (I would accompany him to Argentina). How not? There is already a trust and a way of working. One always wants to grow and I am very grateful to Argentina. Thanks to having arrived at one of the biggest clubs in the world (Boca Juniors) I was given the opportunity to continue my career in Europe”, ‘Ñol’ said in dialogue with ESPN Argentina.

Nolberto Solano also acknowledged that he greatly admires Ricardo Gareca because he had an impeccable job leading the Peruvian National Team. Although he considers that there is a latent possibility that the coach will return to his native country, he also knows that the strong bond formed with the Peruvian fans can be decisive when making a decision.

“That’s what I aspire to as a coach. Perhaps, one day I will make the decision and send myself to the hard task of being a technician. For me it would be a pride to go to Argentina to work, one knows Argentine football very well, but let’s see. It is going to be difficult, here in Peru there is a great affection for Ricardo”, he added.

Ricardo Gareca’s technical assistant in the Peruvian National Team could not help but feel sorry for not qualifying for the 2022 Qatar World Cup, but he considers that this motivates them even more to continue growing for the next qualifying process.

“This always leaves lessons, but without a doubt it leaves us with the peace of mind that everything was always given 100%. Ricardo is the head of all this, he was about to be in a second World Cup and that speaks volumes about the great work he has done in recent years.
