Rosario Central reported this Tuesday that Carlos Tévez becomes its technical director. In this way, the former player will assume his first experience from the bench after making his retirement official as a professional soccer player at the beginning of June.
The Argentine team communicated the news on their social networks and specified that the “Apache” contract will be for one year. In addition, he indicated that Carlos ‘Chapa’ Retegui will be part of the coaching staff.
In this way, Carlos Tévez will debut this Wednesday as DT of Rosario Central when he visits Gimnasia for the Professional League. The ‘scoundrel’ has started the tournament on a regular basis as he has a win, a draw and two losses, so the former player will seek to turn the situation around.
It should be remembered that the last game of “Apache” as a footballer was on May 31, 2021, after a defeat against Racing for the League Cup. Days later he called a press conference to announce that he was leaving his love club. One of the reasons that caused his decision was the death of his father and the mental wear and tear that he had been dragging.

Tévez points to three Boca players to reinforce Rosario Central
The former player would already be planning possible reinforcements for the “scoundrel” for the remaining matches in the Argentine Professional League. For this reason, he would have three players from the current Boca Juniors squad in his sights.
According to the newspaper Ole, Carlos Tévez would like the additions of Jorman Campuzano, Marcelo Weigandt and Gastón Ávila. Although, that would not be all, because the former soccer player would also be interested in the signing of goalkeeper Marcos Díaz and striker Walter Bou, with whom he shared a dressing room in the ‘Xeneize’.
