FC Barcelona announced the signing of Franck Kessié with a clause of 500 million

This Monday, FC Barcelona announced the signing of Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessié, who will be linked to the Catalan entity for the next four seasons. The athlete’s arrival occurs a few days after President Joan Laporta confirmed his incorporation.

“FC Barcelona and Franck Yannick Kessié have reached an agreement for the incorporation of the player, after the footballer has finished his contract with AC Milan”, Said the Barça club in a statement.

“The midfielder will sign a contract until June 30, 2026 and will have a termination clause of 500 million euros (523 million dollars)”added Barcelona, ​​who will continue under the command of Xavi Hernández in the technical direction.

Kessié arrives at Barcelona after playing the last five seasons at AC Milan, where he arrived from Atalanta, first on loan and then transferred.

Last season, the Ivorian played 39 games for the Italian club, scoring 7 goals and providing an assist.

Kessié will be presented on the morning of Wednesday, July 6, at the sports city of the Barça club, as the Barça president, Joan Laporta, had anticipated on Saturday.

The Barcelona president also announced the arrival of Danish defender Andreas Christensen, who will sign with Barcelona after finishing his contract with Chelsea.
