Gino Peruzzi arrived in Peru to sign for Alianza Lima: “I’m going to do my best for this institution”

The Opening Tournament is already history. Alianza Lima was left with the desire to be champion of the first stage of League 1 and now they must focus their attention on the Clausura. In said contest, which will begin this week, the ‘Intimates’ hope to have Gino Peruzzi, who is already in Lima.

The Argentine arrived in the country on the night of recent Sunday, to officially become a reinforcement of the Victorian team. It will be necessary for the athlete to undergo the corresponding medical examinations, stamp his signature and welcome from the 2021 Peruvian soccer champion.

“I am very happy, very excited to join a big club like Alianza Lima”Peruzzi declared before journalists at the Jorge Chávez airport, from where he would go to his accommodation in the capital.

“I chatted with Hernán Barcos, with whom we shared some games of the Argentina team. He spoke very highly of the city team, so I’m very happy. I really want to contribute my grain of sand to try to ensure that Alianza Lima is always at the highest possible level”Peruzzi added.

The player said he felt very well physically and revealed that the idea is that the contract with Alianza Lima be for a year and a half. “I will do my best for this institution.” was his message to the fans.

Gino Peruzzi, 30, has just ended his relationship with San Lorenzo. In the ‘Ciclón’, the soccer player was from January 2019 and participated in a total of 61 games -counting his appearances in Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana- and scored two goals.

In addition to being part of the Barça team, Peruzzi was also a member of the Boca Juniors, Nacional (Uruguay), Catania (Italy) and Vélez Sarsfield squads. In this last club, the right-back made his professional debut in 2011, with the Argentine Ricardo Gareca on the bench.

Regarding the Argentine national team, Peruzzi was present in five games: two friendlies in 2012, two qualifying games for Brazil 2014 and one in the qualifying process for Russia 2018.
