The Peruvian delegation continues to give gold medals to the country at the 2022 Bolivarian Games held in Valledupar (Colombia). On this occasion, the day on Tuesday began with joy due to the victory of Gladys Tejeda.
The national athlete won the gold medal by winning the women’s half marathon, which was very close in the final stretch. The athlete reached a time of 1h 15:13:86, while the second place was also painted red and white.
Luz Mery Rojas kept the silver medal after timing 1h 15:22:94. On her part, the Ecuadorian Rosa Alva Chaca completed the podium by placing in third place (1 h: 42: 38).
Through social networks, users congratulated both national athletes for getting more medals for Peru. “You are a great example”, “Keep in that way. I will always support them”, “Thank you very much champions” either “I am very happy with this news”were some of the messages.
How is the medal table going in the Bolivarian Games?
The medal table is very close and, so far, the Peruvian delegation is in fifth position with 134 medals (32 gold, 35 silver and 67 bronze), while Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Chile march in the first positions. It is worth mentioning that the tournament ends this Tuesday.
