Inter fans dyed the streets red before facing Colo Colo | VIDEO

Inter de Porto Alegre’s performances throughout the Copa Sudamericana group stage were impressive, given that they finished undefeated (three wins and three draws). After overcoming the first round, the ‘Colorados’ started the round of 16 against Colo Colo, visiting, and surprisingly had a severe setback.

The squad led by experienced coach Mano Menezes lost 2-0 in Chile and now must reverse the series at home: the team must win by three goals to advance directly or win by two scores to force penalties. Despite the adverse scenario, the fans did not hesitate to encourage the squad.

Shortly after the start of the match, the members of Inter left the concentration hotel and left for the Beira-Rio Stadium. Precisely, that moment was taken advantage of by the “Colorado” fans: they surrounded the bus and accompanied the transit with songs, applause and fireworks.

Due to the large number of flares, the streets were completely dyed red, the characteristic color of the club. The scene quickly went viral on social networks and the atmosphere is expected to be repeated in the stands of the José Pinheiro Borda venue.

The match International vs. Colo Colo will be played this Tuesday, July 5, at the Beira-Rio Stadium, for the second leg of the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana (7:30 pm Peruvian time). The first leg was 2-0 in favor of the ‘Cacique’, so the ‘Colorados’ must win by at least a difference of two goals, to reach a penalty round.
