America vs. Puebla: match preview

Club América has shown all its power during the regular stage and finished as leader of the table, with 12 wins, two draws and three losses. Despite a start full of doubts, the arrival of coach Fernando Ortiz served to bring out the best football version of the players.

The ‘Eagles’ don’t know what it’s like to lose 13 games ago and curiously they only gave up points once in that period: they drew 3-3 against Santos Laguna on September 14. And the last time the institution stumbled was on July 31, 3-2 in the visit to León. The streak is impressive.

Part of the great moment of America is the outstanding present Henry Martín, who already has 12 goals in the season, in addition to six assists. The Uruguayan Jonathan Rodríguez also became a key piece in the team’s scheme: he registers six celebrations.

On their side, Puebla finished in eighth place in the Apertura Tournament and surpassed the playoffs by beating Chivas de Guadalajara in the penalty shootout (5-4). However, the good record was not reflected against ‘Águilas’.
