Richarlison cries after injury that can leave him out of the World Cup: “Even walking hurts”

The alarms are on in the Brazilian team a few weeks before the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The reason is none other than an injury that Richarlison suffered this Saturday in the match between his team, Tottenham, and Everton, as part of the eleventh Premier League Matchday.

The popular ‘Cocatúa’ started and played only until the 52nd minute, after feeling discomfort in the calf muscle of his left leg. The attacker received medical attention and, seconds later, it was decided that he be changed. Yves Bissouma was chosen by coach Antonio Conte to replace him.

Already after the match, which ended with a 2-0 victory for the ‘Spurs’, Richarlison spoke to ESPN and was concerned. “It is difficult for me to speak at this moment because I am close to my dream. I have had a similar injury before. I hope to recover as quickly as possible. The last time I suffered the injury I was unemployed for more or less two months”she pointed out through tears.

The 25-year-old athlete revealed that on Monday he will undergo a test to determine the severity of the damage. “I know it’s hard to talk right now. On Monday I have the test to find out what it is, but even walking hurts”added the footballer.

Finally, Richarlison, who had to use crutches to get around, wanted to be positive about his presence at the World Cup. “I have to keep a positive mindset to be able to get to Qatar.”sentenced.

When does Brazil debut in Qatar 2022?

The Brazilian team, led by Tite, is part of Group G of the World Cup. The ‘Canarinha’ is scheduled to debut in the tournament on Thursday, November 24 against Serbia. Four days later, the ‘Scratch’ will collide with Switzerland. The closing of their participation in the group stage will be on Friday, December 2, when they face Cameroon.
