The Catalunya team needed Viktoria Plzen to beat Inter in Italy, but this did not happen. The locals won against their people and ensured their presence in the round of 16 leaving out the Spanish team.
In this way, and for the second consecutive season since Xavi Hernández came to the bench, FC Barcelona will play in the UEFA Europa League.
