Lucas Hernandez back in training with Bayern Munich

Good news for the French team. Its defender Lucas Hernandez, injured in the adductors and absent for seven weeks, returned to collective training for Bayern Munich on Monday in the middle of the day, three weeks before the World Cup in Qatar which will take place from November 20 to December 18.

On the eve of an uneventful Champions League match against Inter Milan – Munich is guaranteed first place in the group, Inter second – Lucas Hernandez was applauded by his teammates at the start of the session. He then trotted and participated in the exercises for the first fifteen minutes open to the press, on the training grounds of Säbener Strasse. However, he will not be in the squad for the match against Inter, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann said at a press conference.

Deschamps’ list announced on November 9

Victim of a muscle tear in the adductors at the very end of the match won against FC Barcelona at the Allianz Arena (2-0) on September 13, Lucas Hernandez has not played since. With Bayern, he will have three chances left in the league to have playing time before the World Cup: against Hertha Berlin on Saturday, Werder Bremen (November 8) and Schalke (November 12).

This return to training is good news for France coach Didier Deschamps, who will announce his roster of 23-26 players for the World Cup on November 9.
