Putin congratulates Lula on victory and trusts in the development of relations between Russia and Brazil

The President of Russia, Vladimir Putintoday congratulated Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for his victory in the presidential elections held this Sunday in Brazil and expressed his confidence in the further development of cooperation between the two countries.

“Receive my sincere congratulations on your victory in the presidential elections. The results of the vote confirmed his high political prestige.” he pointed Putin in his message to Lula, published on the Kremlin website.

He expressed his confidence that through joint efforts the “further development of Russian-Brazilian constructive cooperation in all fields” will be guaranteed.

Lula77, will take office on January 1, after having been in power between 2003 and 2010, and is the first politician in Brazilian history to have won three presidential elections.
