Patricio Álvarez becomes Cienciano’s new goalkeeper

Cienciano wants to fight for the 2023 League 1 title and also aims to go as far as possible in the Copa Sudamericana. For this reason, the Cusco team continues to strengthen itself to fight in tournaments and, in this sense, announced the arrival of a new signing: Patricio Álvarez.

The goalkeeper saved in the 2021 and 2022 seasons at Sport Boys. In the recent edition, the 28-year-old athlete played 36 games (Liga 1 and Copa Sudamericana) and became a regular starter for the pink team.

In this way, Patricio Álvarez will wear his fifth shirt in the local tournament. Before, he was at Universitario de Deportes, Melgar and Sporting Cristal. In addition, he was national champion four times (one with the cream squad in 2013, another with “Domino” in 2015 and twice with the “Celestes” in 2018 and 2020).

On the other hand, it is important to mention that Cienciano has also announced Alberto Quintero and Iván Santillán as reinforcements for the following season. The fans hope that the Cusco team will announce more signings in the coming days.
