France-Australia: Blues with Upamecano-Conate loop and Dembele in attack

France’s first squad is rarely the one that ends the World Cup. Meanwhile, Didier Deschamps opted for an attacking card on Tuesday night against Australia (starting at 20:00) with four players born to destabilize a defense. In the absence of Karim Benzema, Olivier Giroud occupies the point of attack. Ousmane Dembele and Kylian Mbappé will be responsible for managing the flanks… but also for pulling back defensively.

A role that Antoine Griezmann will also have to take on. The Atlético Madrid warrior is about to wear a new blue suit for the first match of the 2022 World Cup. Playmaker in the offensive phase (4-3-3), lower in the defensive phase along with Rabiot and Chuameni (4-2-3-1).

The Blues are moving forward without many landmarks in this device. Compared to the start of the competition in 2018 against the same opponent, there are six new outfield players in eleven. The central hinge, as you know, was eagerly awaited. Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahim Konate have never played together in a tackle and will have to neutralize the Socceroos with their nine combined tackles (seven and two).

Composition: Lloris (c) – Pavard, Konate, Upamecano, L. Hernandez – Rabiot, Chuameni-Dembele, Giroux, Mbappe.
