The national team’s top scorer was the center of attention during the Portugal vs. Ghana. Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored the first goal of the match for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, was captured in a striking scene.
What happened? Cristiano played most of the match against the African team and for a moment the footballer who has no team after terminating his contract with Manchester United was observed taking something from his shorts and eating it.
The Portuguese striker would apparently be eating chewing gum, according to the Portuguese media. Cristiano would have used the chew to maintain energy during the difficult match.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s record
Cristiano Ronaldo became the first footballer to score in five World Cups on Thursday. The Portugal captain scored the first goal for his team with a penalty, which ended up beating Ghana 3-2 in their Group H debut.
Cristiano, who is a free agent after his second spell at Old Trafford ended abruptly on Tuesday, converted a penalty in the 65th minute after the referee called a foul following an apparently casual clash with Mohamed Salisu.
After depositing the ball in the nets, a radiant Cristiano performed his traditional celebration pirouette: high jump, turn and finally stand on the pitch.
The fans roared their cry of “SI-UUU!” They have scored in every World Cup since their first in 2006. They have 118 goals with the Portuguese team.
