PSG women: Diani scores again, Paris wins ahead of Guingamp

In the cold of the Camp de Loge, the PSG women’s section did not falter in the race for the title, leading the distance with the OL. With a 1-0 win over Guingamp, the Parisians return to the top of D1, awaiting the Lyon match against FC Paris this Sunday (16:00). Not shining, Gerard Precher’s players back on the bench can thank Cadidiata Diani, the game’s lone scorer.

Match: not so easy…

In early November, OL, to everyone’s surprise, broke his teeth in a match with En Avant Guingamp (0:0). And this Saturday again against PSG, the Bretons showed great performance, proving that they certainly deserve something other than their last place in the standings (only one point).

It was only thanks to a close-range goal from Kadidiatou Diani after strong pressure from Aurian Jean-Francois (29th) that the Parisians got away with it. This same Diani had a 2:0 opportunity with his left foot (31st place). Ramona Bachmann, on a pass from the important Kadi Diani, saw her strong forehand hit the Breton post (58th).

Otherwise, Sarah Buhaddi had a quiet game in the Paris goal, despite a 2-on-2 situation spoiled by Guingamp at the end of the match (83rd). The important thing for PSG was to win and put pressure on OL, who will have a big test this Sunday on the pitch of the Paris football club. In anticipation of this shock, Paris regained the championship lead by one point.

Player: Kadidiatou Diani

Winner of the 8th time in the season in D1 and 8th scorer. Cadidiatou Diani, who received her October Player of the Year trophy this week, remains important to PSG. Absent this week in the Champions League against Vllaznia Shkodër due to groin discomfort, she returned against Guingamp to help PSG win.

“We can’t do without Kadi,” Gerard Precher admitted on Wednesday evening. I tell you very clearly. Without Marie Antoinette, Katoto is already difficult, but we are not going to repeat this every time. We have only one fear that Kadi will not be able to play. I can’t live without Kadi. Otherwise, we will change our ambitions. We have a Ferrari, we have to protect it.”

Info: Preacher back on the bench

Suspended by the referee for inappropriate behavior in the match against Dijon (3:1), on October 15, the PSG coach received a serious five-match suspension before the FFF disciplinary committee. But after three games under his son Joslin, Gerard Precher returned to the league bench this Saturday. Having received an FFF in recent days, the former OL coach reduced his appeal sanction.

PSG-Guingamp: 1:0 (break: 1-0).
Target. PSG: Diani (29th).
PSG: Buhaddi – Lawrence, Ilestedt, Cascarino, Karshaoui – Jean-Francois, Hamraoui (Simon, 90 + 1) – Folke (Geyoro, 46) – Baltimore (Grenen, 55), Diani (cap), Martens (Bachmann, 46). Entrance: preacher.
