Canelo apologizes to Messi: “These last days I let myself be carried away by passion”

Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez became a trend in recent days due to the accusation against Lionel Messi. Through his Twitter account, the boxer from Guadalajara considered that the midfielder kicked the shirt of the Mexico team during the celebrations for Argentina’s victory (2-0) in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

“Did you see Messi cleaning the floor with our shirt and flag? That he asks God not to find him (…) Just as I respect Argentina, he has to respect Mexico. I’m not talking about the country, I’m talking about Messi because of the ma *** of him that he did ””, wrote the boxer.

Although, he received criticism from some users who considered that the “Flea” had no intention of kicking the shirt but, when he took off his shoes, he stepped on it by chance. Even the Mexican Miguel Layún and the ex-soccer player Sergio Agüero came out in defense of the captain of the ‘Albiceleste’.

After his criticisms against the PSG footballer, ‘Canelo’ Álvarez acknowledged his mistake and made a self-criticism for his publications. “These last days I was carried away by the passion and love I feel for my country and I made comments that were out of place for which I want to apologize to Messi and the people of Argentina. Every day we learn something new and this time it was my turn ”he wrote on his social networks.

In the same way, he sent the best vibes to Argentina for the match against Poland and also to the Aztec team with the match against Saudi Arabia. “I wish both teams much success in their matches today and here we will continue supporting Mexico until the end”he added.
