Cristiano Ronaldo was crying and a fan tried to take a picture next to him | VIDEO

The Portugal team was eliminated from the Qatar 2022 World Cup in the quarterfinal round, after losing 1-0 against Morocco. The result generated deep regret among the members of the Portuguese squad and Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the most affected, but that did not matter to a fan, who tried to take a photo with the striker.

‘CR7’, who had entered after 51 minutes, instead of Rúben Neves, did not have much impact on the match, apart from a shot at the end of the match, which was well contained by Bono. When the defeat was consummated, the 37-year-old footballer could not control his emotions and cried in the middle of the field of the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha.

Quickly, the Portuguese captain received words of encouragement from his teammates and rivals, although there was no way he could be consoled. And a few seconds later, Cristiano decided to retire to the dressing room, to try to calm down, but his journey was interrupted by the unexpected appearance of a fan.

A young fan outwitted the venue’s security and entered the field, with the intention of obtaining a postcard with ‘CR7’. The former Real Madrid player, with tears in his eyes, evidently did not have the courage to respond to this request and a coup occurred: the agents detained the individual and, as a consequence, ended up colliding with the scorer.

Cristiano Ronaldo tried not to pay attention and, after receiving a signal of support from coach Fernando Santos, he continued on his way. This time, to avoid a similar inconvenience, a watchman accompanied the experienced athlete.

Let’s remember that ‘CR7’ says goodbye to Qatar 2022 with a goal, which he scored from a penalty in the group stage debut, against Ghana (3-2 win). Due to his age, everything indicates that this has been the last participation of the Portuguese captain in a World Cup: he leaves with the record of being the only one to inflate the nets in five different World Cups.
