Women’s football: Aminata Diallo returns to Levante

Football player Aminata Diallo will finally find the ground. Without a club since the end of his contract with PSG at the end of last season, the midfielder signed for Spanish club Levante, second in the women’s league behind Barcelona. The former Parisian must stay in Spain for six months with an option for a year.

For Aminata Diallo, this is a fresh start after a year full of events at the judicial level. A 27-year-old young woman who was present during the attack on Heira Hamrawi on November 4, 2021 was taken into police custody and later released without charge. Ten months later, the Grenoble native is again placed in police custody and then charged. After five days spent in the detention center of Versailles, she was released under judicial supervision.

For fifteen days, Aminata Diallo can leave the territory again, which allowed her to sign a contract abroad.

At the same time, the new Levante player had a conflict with PSG, which she blames for “failures in the origin of the non-renewal of the contract.” The decision is condemned by Angelo Castellasi, athletic director of the women’s section.

For Aminata Diallo, Spain will not be a revelation as she has been playing for Atlético Madrid for several months now in 2021 after her loan spell at PSG. On this occasion, she also won the Copa del Rey.
