CONMEBOL communicated through its official channels the different prizes that the clubs will obtain if they manage to exceed the objectives in both the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana.
In the first instance, the body that governs South American soccer pointed out that “in 2023 around USD 301,000,000 will be distributed in CONMEBOL club tournaments, a historic figure for the sport in South America.”
Likewise, he detailed how much money he will give the club if he manages to beat his rivals in the group stage and what happens if you win all your games.
CONMEBOL will distribute around USD 301,000,000 in its club tournaments, which would mean an increase of more than USD 57,000,000 compared to 2022, that is, a 23% increase.
“In this way, in the CONMEBOL Libertadores, up to USD 207,800,000 will be distributed, this is USD 37,800,000 more than in 2022, an increase of 21%,” the statement said.
For its part, in CONMEBOL Sudamericana, up to USD 77,800,000 will be distributed, that is, USD 17,840,000 more than in 2022, an increase of 30% compared to the previous edition.

“In order to recognize sporting merits and increase competitiveness, as of this edition, CONMEBOL will award an additional USD 300,000 per game won in the group stage in CONMEBOL Libertadores. In the case of CONMEBOL Sudamericana, the additional amount will be USD 100,000,” they stated.
