Carlos Zambrano: “I had offers from the USA and Brazil but I had the intention of coming to Alianza”

Lima Alliance officially introduced to Carlos Zambrano as his new reinforcement for the 2023 season. The defender who arrives from Boca Juniors, signed for 2 seasons with the ‘Blue and Whites’ and gave his first press conference.

“I preferred to arrive in Peru at this time than in two more years. As the years go by, the level normally goes down, but I feel in good condition and I know that I can give Alianza much more now than if I had waited two years.”he expressed.

“I had offers from Uruguay, the United States and Brazil, but the time has come to come to Peru, to the best team that is Alianza. In the Peruvian league, the three-time championship is sought and the main objective is the Libertadores ”he added.

Later, he spoke about his departure from Boca. “With Boca everything was closed but in an hour and a half everything changed and by mutual agreement we terminated the contract. I’m leaving calm. I was always direct, never double-sided”.

He also talked about the ‘Blue and White Afternoon’. “I felt it like a dream come true, this is just beginning, I had a lot of contact with all my teammates, I felt like one more at home. I know more than half of the squad, Hernán (Barcos) also received me very well”.
