Boxing: Tyson Fury challenges former UFC star Francis Ngannou

The invitation is sent. The WBC world heavyweight boxing champion and the MMA heavyweight belt holder could go head-to-head. Francis Ngannou left the UFC, the number one championship in MMA, and declared his desire to box. Tyson Fury, the best boxer at the moment, understood the message well and relayed it to the Cameroonian fighter at the SecondsOut microphone.

“Francis Ngannou, I know that you no longer have a contract with the UFC,” he attacked the Briton. Do you want to earn a lot of money? Come see Gipsy King and let’s have a big fight for being the coolest MF on the planet. Let’s dilute the show: in a cage, in MMA gloves, under Queensberry (English boxing rules) and with a fucking referee like Mike Tyson! »

The UFC heavyweight belt holder has already opened the door for a fight with Fury. “My instinct tells me to box in a professional fight. I don’t know where yet, I’ll find it, I’m working on it,” Ngannou said on a Canadian podcast. He says he is ready to fight twice in 2023 and why not this summer.

“It will be against anyone if it is Tyson Fury, I understand. I don’t have a problem with boxing, even with four ounce gloves (smaller than English boxing gloves and especially used in MMA), so yes. Maybe with four ounce gloves, maybe in a cage (MMA), we’ll see.” The 36-year-old Cameroonian also mentioned the name Anthony Joshua. At the moment, especially Fury, 34 years old, 34 fights, 33 wins, 0 losses, fell for the bait.
