League 1 could not start yet due to protests: “They are subject to possible modifications”

In the framework of the demonstrations that have been taking place in Peru, the Professional Football League (LFP) shared a statement indicating the possible actions that the entity that governs League 1 would carry out.

“The Professional Soccer League (LFP) informs the public opinion and the fans that the schedules of the Betsson 1 League 2023 matches, corresponding to dates 2 and 3, are subject to possible modifications according to the social situation that the country lives,” they said.

“The LFP appreciates the collaboration of the competent authorities so that the Peruvian championship can start normally and hopes that soon all the necessary conditions will be met in an environment of security and peace for the athletes and fans, who are looking forward to not only the initial whistle, but also the unity of the country”, they sentenced.
