According to several foreign media, the former coach of Marseille and Roma, among others, has been fired due to his poor results and his lack of understanding with the group.
Al-Nassr, second in the Saudi championship three points behind first, lost to leader Al-Ittihad in early March and drew against Al-Feiha last weekend.
The tensions between the coach and the players, especially with Cristiano Ronaldo, would have precipitated his departure.
