newcastle got his return to Champions League this Monday at St. James Park, where they tied at home against leicester to ensure their pass to the next edition of the European contest. As expected, the stadium looked packed and there were special visitors, like the one from Nolberto Solano.
The former player and assistant coach of the Peruvian team was caught enjoying the match in full official broadcast, sitting like another ‘Urracas’ fan in one of the stands on stage.
Alan Shearer, a prominent former English striker, could also be seen present. Both were allies on the field of play with the Newcastle shirt at the beginning of the new millennium. The goalscorer saw ‘Ñol’ arrive from Boca Juniors in 1998 and accompanied him on his return to the club.

Twenty years later, Newcastle will play the Champions League again, after securing their presence among the top four in the Premier with a 0-0 draw at home against Leicester who clung to their chances of salvation. A destiny that contrasts with that of the “Magpies”, who two decades later will once again rub shoulders with the best European teams after an outstanding season led by Eddie Howe.
