“A runaway horse hit him on the head”: Sergio Rico’s family reveals details of his brutal accident

Sergio Rico, Spanish PSG goalkeeper, suffered an accident in Huelva (Spain) and is admitted to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital, in Seville, due to a serious head injury caused by the incident. The 29-year-old goalkeeper, trained in the Sevilla youth academy, in whose first team he was from the 2014-15 to 2018-19 season, was called up this Saturday with his team for the penultimate game of the French league, which he played in Strasbourg, where he tied one and was proclaimed champion.

After his time at Sevilla, Rico went through English Fulham, he was later hired by PSG, who loaned him out to Real Mallorca last season, to return to the Parisian team, where he is a regular substitute.
