Alejandro Aramburú and other outstanding Peruvian tennis legends will participate in the Master ITF tournament – MT1000 “Terrazas Ciudad Miraflores” T&C Group Cup, which will be held between June 12 and 17 at the Club Terrazas facilities.
The tournament is one of the stops on the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour Circuit of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and will be attended by one of the national tennis legends such as Alejandro Aramburu, Karim Strohmeier and Lorena Rodríguez.
They would make up an experienced Peruvian team in the male and female branches, who will face the exponents of the rest of the world in the different Master categories.
The “Terrazas Ciudad Miraflores” ITF MT 1000 Tournament disputes all categories by age, in the modality of singles, doubles and mixed doubles. The categories by age range from 30 to 90 years in both sexes.
The Master category in tennis has gained great momentum in recent years, due to the fact that the great tennis players of yesteryear return to the competition, motivating their fans to have the opportunity to see them and compete against them, under the motto “quality always is left over”.
There are 29 MT 1000 tournaments in the world (23 in the US, 2 in Australia, and one each in Spain, Turkey, Croatia, and Peru). At the South American level, Club Terrazas was the first to obtain an ITF Master tournament from grade 4 level in 2006 until 2010, when it achieved the MT 1000 level.
