“Everything will do, don’t worry”: Zinedine Zidane’s tears for children with cancer

The emotion was too strong. Zinedine Zidane could not hold back his tears. The former No. 10 of the Blues was present this Monday in Istres (Bouches-du-Rhone) as a sponsor of the operation designed by the “Le Point Rose” association. The aim of this project is to create a nursing home that can accommodate children with cancer and their families, allowing them to spend their last “happy” days and rebuild themselves after death. Zidane hailed the “more than exceptional” project and burst into tears as he talked about it. “It will pass, don’t worry,” he smiled.

“I am proud to be able to sponsor your project,” he continued with wet eyes. You can proudly promise something exceptional. For all these families. Honestly, you have no idea. Zinedine Zidane thought especially of his brother Farid, who died in 2019 after a long illness: “Losing a child is the worst thing that can be, we all agree. My parents had it and I know it’s hard. Work should begin at the end of the year, and delivery is scheduled for 2025.
