Jamie Lozano’s first words as coach of Mexico: “Let’s talk on the pitch”

The abrupt departure of Diego Cocca from the Mexican teamwith only five months in office, unleashed a hurricane just a few days before the start of the most important tournament in Concacaf: the Gold Cup. However, the Mexican Football Federation did not delay in appointing Jaime Lozano like new DT of the ‘Tricolor’.

On Tuesday, the coach headed for Houston (Texas) to join the team’s concentration and begin preparations for the match against Honduras in Group B, this Sunday, June 25.

“We’re going to talk on the field, I’m happy and excited,” were Lozano’s first words as Mexico coach, when asked by reporters.

In brief statements, DT was optimistic. Let’s remember that Jamie Lozano was in charge of that Mexico Sub-23 team that won the bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games.

“Always happy to see them in the National Team, to see them succeed and to be able to help them. We are a National Team and they are all good players ”, he concluded.
