Jennifer Hermoso denies the kiss to Luis Rubiales: “I felt vulnerable and the victim of an attack”

The Spanish international Jenni Hermoso assured this Friday that “at no time” did she consent to the kiss of the president of Spanish soccer, Luis Rubiales, she said in a statement signed together with her fellow world champions that they threaten not to return to the national team if the leader does not it goes.

“I want to clarify that as seen in the images, in no case did I consent to the kiss he gave me and, of course, in no case did I seek to raise the president up” Rubiales, said the player in a statement published by her Futpro union on the platform X

“I do not tolerate that my word is questioned, much less that words are invented that I have not said,” Hermoso added in the statement, signed by about 80 players, including the 23 world champions.

Hermoso reacted in this way to the words of the president of the Spanish Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, this Friday morning, assuring in an Extraordinary Assembly that the kiss was “spontaneous, mutual, euphoric and consented.”

The federal president surprised on Sunday at the World Cup medal ceremony by holding the player’s head and kissing her on the mouth after Spain beat England 1-0 in the final.

The images went around the world along with those of his gestures in the box clutching his genitals, a few meters from Queen Letizia.

“The players of the senior team, recent world champions, in support of Jennifer Hermoso, want to express their firm and resounding condemnation of behaviors that have violated the dignity of women,” said the Futpro statement.

The world champions “wait for strong responses from the public powers so that actions do not go unpunished” such as those that occurred in the World Cup final.
