Yoshimar Yotún on Grimaldo, Reyna and Quispe: “They are no longer promises and are a reality”

The experienced national midfielder Yoshimar Yotun referred to the present the new values that entered into the consideration of Juan Reynoso for the Peruvian team, a few days after starting the Qualifiers at World Cup 2026.

Along these lines, he highlighted the qualities and perseverance of young elements such as Joao Grimaldo, Bryan Reyna and Piero Quispe, with whom he trains at La Videna.

“They are no longer promises and are a reality. They have continuity in his club, Piero (Quispe) has played Sudamericana and he has done very well. He has a great level that can contribute a lot to the national team and to the “U” as well. I have Grimaldo every day, I know how he has grown. He has earned a position in Cristal and now he is here in the senior team, ”he said in statements to the press.

“Bryan Reyna is the one who has been with us the longest and already with friendly matches, with goals. Reyna is a great player and she is going to contribute a lot to the national team”, added Yotún, the player with the most appearances with the red and white at present.

Meanwhile, he also shared his position regarding the generational change in the senior team, this because, despite the seniority of several footballers, they are still cited in the calls.

“People want change and that, but when the change was made with Professor Gareca it was a few. He was giving minutes to many young people. I also entered little by little, until I was able to keep the position and not let it go anymore, ”said Yotún.
