Once again, Matías Zagazeta will race on a circuit where Formula 1 is held. The young Peruvian driver will compete this weekend in the seventh round of the European Regional Formula By Alpine at the Red Bull Ring Circuit, in Austria.
The national pilot runs with the French R-ace GP team and seeks to climb positions in the championship with the aim of gaining experience in this his first participation in the category.
“After the stoppage of just over a month, I am now in France working with my team, getting everything ready to come out strong in the final stretch of the championship”, highlighted Matías, who runs in Europe thanks to the support of brands such as WIN 100% Fibra Óptica, Huawei and Sumtec.
Matías will start the action this Friday with the training sessions. On Saturday morning (3:50 am from Peru) the classification will be given and around 10:05 am the first valid race will be run. On Sunday the second race is held, with qualifying at 2:10 am and the race itself at 8:10 am
The Red Bull Ring Circuit is 4,318 kilometers long with 10 curves that add excitement to the tests. It is the usual headquarters of Formula 1 and the place where the Red Bull team does its training.
“After Austria there are only three rounds of the championship left, which is why it is very important to start focused from the first practice and fight to be in the top positions in each race. We know it will be hard because all the riders will go out looking for points, but I am confident in the work I am doing with my team and I will do my best to leave Peru at the top.”, affirmed the pilot of the R-Ace GP team.
