Agustin Lozanopresident of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) highlighted the tie obtained by the peruvian team against his counterpart from Paraguay at the start of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
“We took a valuable point from Ciudad del Este. The effort of the players and the technical team was very important to get a good result tonight,” he wrote on his Instagram account.
In addition, he thanked the hospitality provided by the local authorities to the red and white delegation during their stay in Paraguay.
“Special mention for the authorities and the Paraguayan people who treated us very well during our stay in their country,” he added.
The Peruvian team drew goalless, with one man less, against Paraguay, and will now be home against the powerful Brazilian team in Lima.
Meanwhile, the Paraguayan team will visit Venezuela this Tuesday, September 12.
