Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier (33) was the victim of an extortion attempt at gunpoint during a meeting on Monday night at his home in Hardricourt (Yvelines), a police source told Le Parisien. His partner and two children, aged two and six, were also threatened before receiving the money and jewellery. His wife was hit in the face while she was holding her two-year-old child. She received death threats. A knife was also found at the scene.
Three of the four perpetrators were arrested, including two minors. When detaining one of the criminals, an electric pulse pistol (EPP) was used. The fourth person managed to escape.
Gathered in the room
Alexandre Letellier and his family were awakened by an alarm system at around 2am when four men broke into his garden and then into his house. Then the owners of the house tried to call the police, but the criminals asked them to interrupt communication, gathering them in one of the rooms of the house.
Last July, another PSG goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, was linked by “several persons” to his partner in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. He was threatened with a gun and was “slightly injured.” The amount of loot was about 500,000 euros. Both were taken to the hospital.
