Sports University raised its voice of protest after the announcement of Piero Quispe as a new Pumas player. The presentation “evidence” a “lack of respect,” the institution said in a statement.
“Officially presenting a footballer, without having completed the corresponding legal documentation, shows the lack of seriousness of one of the parties in the transfer process. At the club we ensure the well-being and success of our footballers. For this reason, we hope to have all the documentation, as appropriate, to formalize Piero Quispe’s departure abroad,” said the ‘U’.
The merengue team’s statement came hours after a publication by Pumas UNAM with information about the Peruvian midfielder.

In the absence of officialization, Quispe will play for Pumas in the 2024 Clausura tournament of the MX League, the Mexican club reported this Wednesday.
Quispe, 22, was proclaimed the best player in the Peruvian league, in which he led Universitario de Deportes to this year’s title. He played 88 games with the U, scoring 11 goals and giving 8 assists. Pumas will debut in the Clausura on January 14 at home with Juárez.
