Could he stay in Alianza?: This is known about the future of Carlos Zambrano

After the final lost against Universitario de Deportes, Alianza Lima carried out a restructuring of the squad and therefore several players emerged who achieved the two-time championship in 2022 with the blue and white club. However, the continuity of Carlos Zambrano causes doubt in the inner fan, who still does not know if the player will continue, terminate his contract or go out on loan, since he has a contract until 2024.

As El Comercio learned, Alianza Lima is determined not to have the central defender anymore and they would be looking for a way out for ‘Kaiser’, who is not in the preseason.

Alianza Lima and its new coach, Alejandro Restrepo

In his first experience outside his country, Colombian Alejandro Restrepo will lead Alianza Lima in the 2024 season, the Peruvian club announced on Friday that will play in the Copa Libertadores in addition to the domestic tournament.

“I take on the challenge with great responsibility, I am aware of the club we are going to represent,” Restrepo said at a press conference.

The 41-year-old coach replaces the Uruguayan Mauricio Larriera who lost the 2023 league final against his classic rival, Universitario de Deportes.

Restrepo arrived at Alianza Lima after directing the Colombian teams Atlético Nacional (2019-2021) and Deportivo Pereira (2022-2023).
