Kylian Mbappé is the one called to inherit the throne that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will no longer occupy. The French player had the opportunity to share a team with the Rosario player for two seasons (from 2021 to 2023) at PSG and in a recent interview he praised the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner.
“You always miss playing with Messi. For a striker like me who likes to go into spaces, with him you go with the security that you can have the ball. It was a luxury that almost only he could give you. Beyond that, playing with Messi was really special,” he indicated.
Let us remember that, although they could not achieve the goal of lifting the Champions League, the Mbappé-Messi duo gave us several memorable moments. In this way, they managed to win Ligue 1 twice and also won a French Cup.
They played together in a total of 67 games, ‘Lio’ assisted ‘Donatello’ on twenty occasions, while the Frenchman assisted the Argentine on 14 occasions.
