Yoshimar Yotúncaptain of Sporting Cristal, spoke about the possible signing of Joao Grimaldo to a club from abroad, after confirming the advanced conversations of the celestial club with Belgrano de Córdoba of Argentina.
“Grimaldo is a great player who has shown that he is prepared to play anywhere,” he said when asked by the press this Friday in Florida.
“He is already a national team player. He is already prepared, he is a starter in his team, he has played a good Copa Libertadores and he has played for the national team. He is ready to take that step,” he assured.
Along these lines, he did not hide his desire to share more time on the field with the 20-year-old attacker, although he wants the best decision to be made regarding his future.
“I’ll be honest with you, I would love to have him all year round, but I would also love for him to make his story outside the country, so let’s hope it’s the best for him and for Peru.”
Sporting Cristal will face the Universidad Católica this Sunday at the National Stadium, in the ‘Celestial Afternoon’, where the Bajopontinos will present their 2024 squad.
