Peru and Argentina Sub 23 will collide at the Polideportivo Misael Delgado stadium in Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela.
A goal from Franchesco Flores and an outstanding performance by Diego Romero in goal gave the Peru under-23 team a 1-0 victory against Chile this Sunday, in the first match of Group B of the South American Pre-Olympic Tournament, which is being played in Venezuela until February 11.
Flores opened the scoring in the 67th minute at the Misael Delgado stadium, in the Venezuelan city of Valencia, in a match in which Romero stood out, who managed to get La Bicolor out of danger from three clear scoring opportunities by La Roja.
In the 50th minute, Romero stopped a shot by César Pérez that put the Peruvian team at risk for seconds, which he also saved shortly after, when he used his entire body to stop a ball that was already visible inside.
La Roja was saved from the second that Peru almost achieved, but that Vicente Reyes thwarted with his intervention. In the last minutes of the match, Peru was left with 10 players after the Colombian referee Jhon Ospina sent off MathÃas Llontop, in the 87th minute.
